Are You Sleeping?

“Lack of sleep was causing me a great deal of distress, however, after the first consultation with Dr Chris, I felt calmer and reassured that he would be able to offer me the support and help that I needed.”

The Importance Of

Good Sleep

Sleep keeps us physically healthy, helps us perform better and has a huge impact on our wellbeing. Poor sleep has been shown to be linked to a huge range of physical, emotional and cognitive issues including:

  • cardiovascular disease
  • diabetes
  • hypertension (high blood pressure)
  • fatigue
  • anxiety
  • tension
  • irritability
  • low mood
  • feeling desperate/being ‘at wit’s end’
  • memory problems
  • poor concentration

In short, getting a decent night’s sleep is really important. And the good news is that there are proven effective treatments available, so we believe no one should have to put up with sleepless nights.

We can help

Insomnia Treatment

Insomnia is much more common than you may think, with around 1 in 3 people reporting they have experienced sleep issues in the past year and around 1 in 5 of us meeting full clinical criteria for insomnia.

Our treatment programme uses Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia (CBTi) which is the gold standard treatment for insomnia and is recommended by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) and the World Health Organisation (WHO). It is a brief course of treatment with research proving its effectiveness in the treatment of insomnia.

Our insomnia treatment programme (CBTi) includes:

  • A thorough sleep assessment split into three stages including screening for other common sleep disorders, a detailed clinical interview and analysis of your sleep data.
  • A course of CBTi treatment sessions.
